Ninetoes arrived on the house music scene with a bang in 2013. His track “Finder” set Ibiza on fire that season, becoming the most Shazam’d track on the island that year. Suddenly, dance music fans around the world were asking themselves: “Who is this Ninetoes guy?” It seemed as if he had appeared out of nowhere, instantly gaining support from highly respected DJs such as Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Jesse Rose, Luciano, Davide Squillace, and DJ Koze.
But Ninetoes was far from a newcomer. Long before his breakthrough, he had already built a solid reputation as a highly skilled hip-hop producer and DJ, performing around the globe and perfecting his craft for more than fifteen years.
Hailing from Stuttgart, Germany’s Motor City, Ninetoes brings a deep musical background and an instinctive understanding of how to ignite a dancefloor. He had been producing music for many years, but when the idea for “Finder” came to him, his career took an unexpected turn. Originally produced at a slower tempo for his hip-hop sets, the track was later reworked with a faster pace and a new groove – ultimately becoming one of the most iconic house records of the past decade. Quickly picked up by Martin Eyerer, a longtime friend of Ninetoes, the track was released on Kling Klong, and the rest is history.
With the spotlight suddenly on the breakout artist of the year, expectations were high.
