Mat.Joe is a Berlin-born house artist, now based in Lisbon, known for delivering groove-driven, high-energy club music with a distinct urban edge.
Originally formed as a duo, the project has evolved into a solo venture, with Matthias continuing to shape the Mat.Joe sound — a signature blend of crisp drums, rolling basslines, rhythmic soul, and pure dancefloor energy.
In 2025, he launched his imprint La Bamba, a platform dedicated to authentic house music — raw, groovy, and uncompromising. The label has quickly gained momentum, with releases supported by leading names in the global scene including Jamie Jones, Diplo, John Summit, Claptone, Purple Disco Machine, Marco Carola, and The Martinez Brothers.
Alongside La Bamba, Mat.Joe has released music on respected international labels such as Golden Recordings and Fool’s Gold, and has earned recognition for standout remixes, including his reworks of Nick Curly’s “Love Stream” and Kill Frenzy’s “All Night Long” on Dirtybird.
As a touring artist, Mat.Joe has brought his sound to dancefloors worldwide — from Los Angeles to Tulum, from Bangkok to Ibiza — connecting with diverse audiences through groove, flow, and high-impact sets. He has shared stages with artists such as DJ Tennis and Eats Everything, including appearances at key events like CampInn for Dirtybird, and has also led a writing camp in Trinidad, mentoring emerging talent from across the Caribbean.
With La Bamba evolving into a creative hub and a clear artistic direction at its core, Mat.Joe continues to carve out his own space within contemporary house music.
BENJA ASIMA
Benja Asima is a Chilean DJ and producer based in Frankfurt, Germany, and has been an active part of the local underground club scene for nearly a decade. Deeply rooted in club culture, his work focuses on long-form sets, musical coherence, and the natural evolution of the dancefloor over time.
Moving between Tech House and Minimal / Deep Tech, his sound is groove-driven, rhythmic, and functional. His DJ sets are defined by extended narratives, subtle tension, and precise energy control — prioritizing flow and depth over peak-driven moments. Influenced by both European club culture and his Latin American background, his approach balances structure and warmth, resulting in immersive and hypnotic dancefloor experiences.
Throughout his career, Benja has performed across Germany, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Brazil, adapting his sound to a wide range of club environments. His appearances include World Club Dome, as well as respected venues such as Tanzhaus West, Moog Barcelona (ES), and Ambra Night Sardegna (IT), alongside numerous underground clubs across Europe.
Based in Frankfurt, Benja holds a long-standing residency at PRACHT, where he plays an active role in shaping the club’s musical identity. Since 2024, he has also been curating his own event series at the venue — a steadily growing platform focused on high-quality underground electronic music, extended sets, and carefully curated lineups.
As a producer, Benja has released music on international labels from Germany, Mexico, and Chile, including Mindset, Manicomio, and Monsoon. His productions reflect his DJ philosophy: groove-oriented, club-focused, and built for long-term relevance rather than short-lived trends.
Working actively between Europe and South America, he maintains strong ties to the Latin American electronic music scene through touring, releases, and collaborations. His ongoing presence across both regions positions him as an artist in constant evolution, driven by musical depth, cultural exchange, and a sustainable approach to the global underground circuit.
